Abstract

Character education provides a message that spirituality and religious values cannot be separated in education. Students' perceptions of Islamic values applied in schools are only considered as theories and symbols by learners. The purpose of this research is to see students' responses to Islamic values in mathematics learning. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, while the research data collection technique is by giving a questionnaire. The sample taken was class VIII students at SMPN 3 Pariaman. Based on the results and discussion, most of the VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman agree that there are Islamic-integrated math problems in mathematics learning, besides that from various responses and test results it can be concluded that overall most students give an agreed perception of the application of Islamic values in mathematics learning. This shows that the mathematics teacher at SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman must continue to make efforts to get used to providing Islamic-integrated mathematics problems.
