Abstract

Stunting is a health problem in which the condition of failure to grow in children under five is a result of malnutrition in the womb and in the early stages of life after birth so that children are shorter in general age. therefore the awareness of a mother in providing good nutrition to children can prevent stunting. Stunting is caused by several factors, namely economics, low knowledge regarding feeding practices for babies and toddlers (sufficient breast milk), neglect and the availability of local food ingredients. The research method used is a qualitative method. This research was conducted in Yammua Village, Keerom Regency, to be precise at the village hall on August 23, 2023 by providing stunting outreach. The duration of the activity process starts from morning until noon. The subjects in this study focused on mothers who had children and toddlers. The data in this research comes from observations during the implementation of socialization. . Treatment of stunting can be done in 2 ways, namely specific nutrition interventions and sensitive nutrition interventions. Specific nutrition interventions are aimed at children within the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK). This is generally carried out by the Health sector on a short-term basis. Meanwhile, nutrition-sensitive interventions are carried out through various development activities outside the health sector.
